Dominic Watson played Poidevin-Gray Shield vs St.George at Hurstville Oval, having played 3rds vs Manly-Warringah at Tonkin Oval the previous day as Dominic Colley! For the record, he top-scored in PGs with 40.

Martin Carroll took 8-30 in 5th Grade vs North Sydney at Tunks Park.

14 January 1990

Sutherland won the AW Green Shield, defeating Manly-Warringah at Bankstown Oval.

Sutherland 8/176 (Brad Harrington 74, Nathan Morando 60) d. Manly-Warringah 173 (James Holley 3-33, Chi Chiem 2-15, Jamie Hall 2-42).

Graham Chudleigh scored 153 not out in 2nd Grade vs Balmain at Leichhardt Oval – the then record score in 2nds.

15 January 1977

Bruce Booker took 8-42 in the second innings 3rd Grade vs Petersham-Marrickville at Sutherland Oval. He took 4-26 in the first innings the previous week, giving him match figures of 12-68 – the best match figures in 3rds.

16 January 1971

Paul McCann took 9-45 in 3rd Grade vs North Sydney at Sutherland Oval – the best bowling figures in 3rds.

16 January 2000

Phil Jaques scored 170 not out in P-G Shield vs Western Suburbs at Pratten Park – the then record score in PGs. It was the first match played on the newly-laid pitch square at Pratten and rather spoiled the Wests club’s party!

Steve Smith scored 134 not out off 67 balls in a 1st Grade L/O match vs Mosman at Allan Border Oval. He hit 15 fours & 9 sixes, including one batting left-handed on a free hit after a no-ball!

17 January 1970

Les Ritchie scored 101 in 1st Grade vs Bankstown-Canterbury at Caringbah Oval. He scored his century off 59 balls in 45 minutes – still the fastest century in 1sts in terms of minutes batted.
