14 March 1970

Alan Kay took 7-32 in the first innings in 3rd Grade vs Waverley at Sutherland Oval. He went on to take 3-28 in the second innings the following week to give him match figures of 10-60.

14 March 1999

Sutherland won the Poidevin-Gray Shield be defeating Western Suburbs in the final replay at Sydney University Oval. The team was captained by Daniel Godkin.

Sutherland 170 (Phil Jaques 38, Darren Reynolds 30, Matthew Probert 20) d. Western Suburbs 80 (Daniel McLauchlan 3-17, Chris Macnamara 2-9, Paul Byrom 2-22).

14 March 2015

David Givney played his 527th and last match for the club in 5th Grade vs North Sydney at Tonkin Oval. In those 527 matches, he scored 12,559 runs (11 x 100 & 52 x 50) and captained 275 times, winning premierships in 5ths in 1999-00 & 2000-01. It was the end of a career that spanned 14,699 days since his debut in AWG vs Nepean at Howell Oval on Mon 16 December 1974.

15 March 2014

Kyle Brockley took 8-51 in 3rd Grade vs North Sydney at North Sydney Oval No.2.

16 March 1996

Stuart MacGill took 5-51 in the first innings in 1st Grade vs Parramatta at Caringbah Oval. He went on to take 6-44 in the second innings the following week to give him match figures of 11-95, as 1sts won outright to propel them into the top four in what would become our first 1st Grade premiership in a couple of weeksโ€™ time.

16 March 2006

Stuart Clark made his Test debut in the 1st Test vs South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town. He took 5-55 & 4-34 and won the Player of the Match award.

17 March 1979

Eugene Nix took 7-41 & 6-26 in 1st Grade vs Penrith at Howell Oval โ€“ match figures of 13-67 in one day, as 1sts won outright to make the semi-finals for the first time. When we played in the 1st Grade final in 1966-67, it was just 1st vs 2nd in the final โ€“ no semi-finals.

18 March 1995

Martin Carroll took 8-37 in 2nd Grade vs Petersham-Marrickville at Caringbah Oval.

19 March 1966

Paul Lennon took 9-19 in the 4th Grade final vs Central Cumberland at Sutherland Oval, as we won our first premiership in our first season. These were the best bowling figures in an innings for the club until Devlin Malone took 10-116 in 2015-16. The team was captained by Ross Longbottom.
