Sutherland won the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Grade premierships in only its third year in the grade cricket competition, having previously won the Club Championship for the first time. All three finals were won outright.

2nd Grade defeated Western Suburbs at Pratten Park. The team was captained by Grant Le Huray.

Sutherland 177 (Grant Le Huray 77, Graham Warry 37, Ron Erickson 30) & 5/116 (Barry Davison 43, Glen Bailey 38) d. Western Suburbs 119 (Glen Bailey 5-39, John Philip 4-58) & 173 (Bob Wade 3-48, Stan Gilchrist 2-5, John Philip 2-53) outright.

3rd Grade defeated St.George at Sutherland Oval. The team was captained by Bryan Hazell.

Sutherland 102 (Bryan Hazell 58) & 186 (Stuart Toolin 39, Bryan Hazell 27) d. St.George 163 (Paul Lennon 4-36, Grant Murphy 2-45) & 106 (Gerry Fanning 4-33, Grant Murphy 3-21, Les Ritchie 2-19) outright.

4th Grade defeated Bankstown-Canterbury at Bankstown Oval. The team was captained by Ken Hatherly.

Sutherland won the 5th Grade premiership by defeating University of NSW at Glenn McGrath Oval. The team was captained by Nathan Whittingham, who also won the James Rodgers Medal for player of the match.

Sutherland won the Metropolitan Cup for the first time by defeating Sydney University Blue at Glenn McGrath Oval. The team was captained by Brett James. Jack Logan won the Player of the Final Medal.

Sydney University Blue 168 off 90.5 overs (Parth Taya 2-13, Jack Logan 2-25, Brady Philipson 2-26, Max DeCelis 3ct) lost to Sutherland 7/169 (Jack Logan 37, Brett James 34, Lachlan Gatherer 32, Max DeCelis 23).

1 April 1979

Sutherland won the 5th Grade premiership by defeating Bankstown-Canterbury at Caringbah Oval. The team was captained by Ken Lamb.

Sutherland won the 5th Grade premiership by defeating University of NSW at Caringbah Oval. The team was captained by David Givney.

Sutherland played in three finals, winning 3rd & 4th Grades and losing 5th Grade.

3rd Grade defeated Gordon at Chatswood Oval. The team was captained by Jason Packer.

Sutherland won the 3rd & 4th Grade premierships.

3rd Grade defeated Sydney at Blacktown International Sports Park No.2. The team was captained by Aaron Phillips.

4th Grade defeated Manly-Warringah at Waverley Oval. The team was captained by Chris Macnamara.

2 April 1995

Glenn McGrath took 5-68 in the second innings of the 1st Test vs West Indies at Kensington Oval Barbados. He finished with match figures of 8-114 and won the Player of the Match award.

2 April 2000

Sutherland won the 5th Grade premiership by defeating Manly-Warringah at Manly Oval. The team was captained by David Givney.

Sutherland won the 1st Grade premiership by defeating North Sydney at Bankstown Oval. The team was captained by Jason Young and Jason Holley won the Benaud Medal for player of the match.

Daniel Fallins won the James A. Daly Memorial Award and Steve Kourouche won the Ted Cotton Memorial Award at the annual Presentation Night, which was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.

4 April 2006

Stuart Clark finished his debut Test series against South Africa with 20 wickets at 15.85 in the 3 Tests and was named Player of the Series.

4 April 2010

Sutherland won the 4th Grade premiership after drawing with St.George at Glenn McGrath Oval. The side was captained by Chris Macnamara.

Sutherland 8/203 (Josh Zywietz 57, Greg Horner 48) drew with St.George 224 (James Bills 4-67, Josh Zywietz 3-39, Nick Sharman 3-65).

4 April 2021

Sutherland won the 4th Grade premiership after defeating St.George at Hurstville Oval. The team was captained by James Hawksworth. Tom Straker won the David Givney Medal for player of the match.

5 April 2013

Nic Maddinson scored 107 in the first innings of the 1st Grade final versus St.George at Bankstown Oval. This is the only time a Sutherland player has scored a century in a 1st Grade final.
